The shop

St. Johns and Show Low admin: rocket, CAD, and AI are not running. This bench is that hole. Arizona’s first 100% off-grid public hackspace. HeatSync, Xerocraft, and Flagstaff’s Coco-op sit on the grid. We have not found this stack off-grid anywhere else in the U.S.

The stage

We intend to teach it all. The 9850X3D / 5080 and the printers and scanners are already here — edit, key, scan, put a model in the air. Cameras, blue and green screens, lights, mics, hologram fans, and Pepper’s ghost glass come from the communities. Not a grant to the courthouse. A gift to the bay.

The field — start at 0–250 g

We own the dirt. We do not own the sky. Drones are the majority use. Rockets are a posted exception. One activity at a time.

Fun fleet

Sub-250 g, flown only for fun, in this Class G: no ATC, no FAA registration, no Remote ID. TRUST is still required. Weight is at takeoff — battery, camera, tape.

Work fleet

The same 249 g quad used to train pilots for work is Part 107. Register that airframe. Broadcast Remote ID even under 250 g. Do not mix the boxes.

Concho Fire District is volunteer. Station 1: 20 County Road 5069. Non-emergency 928-337-2681. Emergency 911. Ask them to stand by on rocket days. They may be on a medical. You are the first engine.
Red-flag / Stage 2: no torch, no motor. 3.3 miles behind Concho Elementary is not a waiver.
Ultralight: Part 103, daylight, not over settlement. Keep the FAA note in writing.

Tracks

The shop is civic. Auxilium is the faith side door — optional, never the price of a printer.

Open Shop

Adults. Saturday and one weeknight. Tool badges and a project log.

Family bench

A minor only with that child's parent or legal guardian. No substitutes. No drop-off. The project is theirs.

Second Shift

Adults coming home — walk-in, family, or church. Not a county caseload. Time on the tools.

Field

One activity: drones, or ultralight, or rockets. Logbook and a schedule photo.

House rules

Not a business. No insurance. You enter at your own risk. A signed waiver is required. A waiver is not immunity.
Parent or legal guardian in the bay with their own child. No stand-ins. Steward on duty for torch, blades, and range, or those tools stay locked.
Volunteer fire only. Ask Concho Fire to stand by on rocket days. Water on site anyway. No torch or launch on red-flag / Stage 2.
Class G field: one activity at a time, posted. We schedule the dirt, not the sky. Pattern off the school and the houses.
Sub-250 g fun fleet: no ATC, no registration, no Remote ID. TRUST required. Weight at takeoff.
Training pilots for work is Part 107 even under 250 g.
No PVC in a laser. No resin without vent. No tool overnight loans in year 1.
Student files on the Nation stay with the student.

Need from the people

Nothing from Apache County as a government.
Local welders and manufacturers: rod, scrap, a Saturday, an internship if the work is real.
Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA, AMD: boards and seats that multiply the iron already given.
Neighbors who can ride, teach, or leave filament, rods, or time.
A used lathe through science gear. Instruction is free; iron is not.
Videography, chroma, and holo kit from the communities. We have the computer and the 3D systems. We do not have the cameras, screens, or fans yet.
